I have written two reports related to my investigative and research work on the STV aspect of the Scottish Local Government Elections May 2022.
Report #1: LG-STV-PR – Voter Preferences Rankings – Research and Analysis.

I have tried to make this paper neither too technical nor too academic. I am unsure as to my audience and so some readers might find some of the content not so relevant.
I apologise for this. However, I do feel that the content and findings are of interest and significance to most.
Report #2: Recommendation for a Consolidated Election Results Portal for the Scottish Local Elections Report Files.

This report is more technical and practical – more akin to describing a standalone IT project and solution.
It documents the significant work in downloading and correcting the Election report files, and auto-generating a Centralised Repository from those downloaded files.
It also documents how to achieve this.

More technical. The following three text files are used by my Python programs to list data on Councils, Wards and expected file types. These files indicate some of the many issues with the way (as at 2024) the 32 Councils publish the election results.
